In "Hurdle / Fence," the race meets its most dangerous moment. A tightly packed field rushes toward a jump, and in an instant an unplanned mistake changes everything —a stumble, a refusal, a fall that scatters horses and riders. Beside me, Matt doesn't flinch; he's seen how quickly form, breeding, and clever betting can be overturned by a single fence. This piece shows me the hard edge of racing: that every calculation must also allow for pure chance, and that part of a true racing education is learning to accept surprises, setbacks, and the fragility of even the best-fancied plans.

All my images are digital collage. Each image begins as a gathering — fragments of found imagery, textures, painted and drawn elements, and at times AI-assisted material. These are raw components. I dismantle, rework, paint into and rebuild, then layer digitally until they resolve into something entirely new. The final image is not generated. It is composed.

They are printed on German Etching Archival Hahnemühle 320gsm paper, with archival pigments. Each print is signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
